TreeVitalize: The 4400 Chestnut Street Neighbor Woods crew
Five
London Planetrees [Platanus x acerifolia]
and four
"October Glory" Red Maples [Acer Rubrum] were added to the the
Urban Arboretum of University City
on Saturday 28 October 2006.
The 4400 Chestnut Street Neighbor Woods crew planted 9 trees as part of the
Tree Vitalize program
under the direction of UC Green
and coordinated by Betsy Magill of the 4400 Chestnut Street Block
Association.
Concrete preparation (cutting and removal) was done by the Orens Brothers,
cowners of the Fit Gym at 4415 Chestnut.
Chip Buchholtz
rented an earth auger from Home Depot to make the tree pit digging easier.

An augury for the new Trees in the University City Arboretum.

new homes.
