Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic A. C. Clarke
The collection of "pro-sumer" links I have found covering the technical aspects of Home Automation, Home Networking, Home Theater and related topics... all blurring together as we move forward in the "Green Revolution", under the banner of "convergence." There are undoubtedly others, but one only finds so many hours in a day. In addition, all of the various Mac and PC related magazines are picking up on this theme of "convergence." As are the various computing professional journals. The LInux world is probably further along the path than the PC/Mac crowd, simply by virtue of the fact that the mantel of the "ham radio operator" has passed to them. The expirementers and "home brew" folks "do LINUX" today. If you are really after "down and dirty" "seriously technical" information, the IEEE Journal and the various RFCs contain everything but the proprietary information.Other Non-Sectarian pages like this
